Tahoe has become a mecca of sorts for mountain biking and Northstar leads the effort with its rockin’ bike park – with everything from beginner to advanced downhill and cross-country trails; lift access, bike rentals, lessons and more. For those who like to climb as much as descend, more two-wheeled action is available nearby, from the scenic Fiberboard Freeway in Tahoe City and the Flume Trail near Spooner Lake to the challenging collection of cross-country trails along Donner Summit.
