Truckee Thursdays

Every Thursday, June 11 – August 20, 2020

As if summer in Truckee wasn’t cool enough, Truckee Thursday’s will celebrate its 13th year of being the town’s weekly summer gathering of residents, visitors, artisans, musicians and culinary vendors. If you only have a limited time to experience Truckee, then this is a can’t-miss event to get a taste of all Truckee has to offer.  And the best part? It’s incredibly easy to get to with the complimentary shuttle service that runs all over Truckee from 5pm – 9pm.

Craw Thaw Music Festival

May 29 – 31, 2020

This New Orleans inspired street festival marks spring’s arrival in Truckee. 2020 will be the festival’s 3rd year taking over downtown Truckee, helping locals and visitors alike ‘thaw’ out and enjoy 3-days of Cajun themed celebration. Jazz and reggae bands play all 3 days, while food and beverage vendors line Donner Pass Road offering everything from crawfish gumbo to fresh baked beignets. Saturday is all about the kids featuring face painting, the annual “Craw Cross” race and hands-on music and craft vendors.

Shakespeare Festival

Check website for showtimes, dates and details.

Lake Tahoe’s Shakespeare Festival began in 1972 with the simple mission to promote historical arts & culture in a fun, unique and exciting way. Truckee-Tahoe Air Show & Family Festival

Saturday, July 11, 2020

Get to see what the inside of a B-25 Bomber looks like, step inside the cockpit of a Navy Skyhawk and watch a 500-horse powered bi-plane twist and turn in the air before swooping by the crowd at over 80 miles per hour.  The event is free to attend (including free parking), however there is a VIP ticket to upgrade your experience with access to catered lunches, beverages (including beer and wine), all day shade and front row seating for the air show, with all proceeds going directly to Truckee and North Lake Tahoe youth organizations. There is also an opportunity to sign your child up to take a complementary flight in some of the coolest planes on the Sunday following the event!
